client / St Helens Council
website / www.rainhilltrials.com
Zut Media were approached by St Helens Council to create an interactive online experience to highlight Rainhill’s role in the development of the world’s first inter-city railway. Working closely with the members of Rainhill Railway & Heritage Society, Zut set off researching, interviewing leading railway experts and photographing artefacts from the 1829 Trials to be included within the virtual museum.
A virtual guide was filmed in traditional 1829 clothing to show visitors around the museum and even today’s journey along the Liverpool and Manchester line was filmed.
The site was named website of the week by leading website Culture 24.
