To promote its youth coaching programmes around the world, Liverpool Football Club’s International Academy commissioned a video to be used as a key marketing asset across its channels.
Forming a crucial part of its marketing strategy, the video piece was created to appeal to its target audience (both potential participants and their parents) in an inspiring and engaging way, whilst achieving its main aims of driving registrations and increasing engagement.
The video was to be used as a broader engagement piece, and so it was important to have appeal for the wider LFC fan base.
To do this, we created an animation-based video, highlighting the history and heritage of the Club, with an emotive narrative to stir the aspirations of academy participants to play for the club they support.
The animation told the story of one child’s aspirations to be a Liverpool player, through a montage of imagery from their point of view, flowing from the child’s dreams of playing as told through their recollections of key moments, goals and triumphs in recent LFC history.
