Marketing Liverpool required a destination marketing film to showcase participating cities in their ‘Urban Collective and Renaissance Collection: Cultural Collections in the Cities of Northern England’ project,

The project’s aim was to create culturally-themed, bookable products across five former Northern industrial cities that are experiencing a regeneration-driven cultural renaissance: Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Hull and Newcastle.

The Strategy

Capture the vibrancy, spirit, heritage and uniqueness of the five cities through product and hero imagery, emphasising the ease of connectivity between the cities to act as a catalyst to stimulate visits and bookings.

We used atmospheric hero shots of each city’s iconic locations, using hyperlapse techniques to bring life and dynamism to each shot sequence.

The Results

Aimed at international millennial city breakers from the Netherlands, Germany and the Nordics, the video provides a snapshot of the cultural highlights at each bustling city along the TransPennine Express train route.
