Royal Manchester Children’s HospitalCharlotte’s Story
As part of a campaign to help raise £50,000 for a new Miltenyl Prodigy machine for the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, Zut produced a short film to be screened at a charity ball.
The emotive film was centred around the inspirational story of 14-year-old patient, Charlotte Jennings, who had spent two years battling acute myeloid leukemia, a rare and extremely aggressive form of cancer.
All pieces to camera were filmed using a specialist interview technique, which helps make viewers feel like they are being addressed directly. This led to a collection of conversational soundbites, which were used to form the film’s narrative.
As well as being screened at the charity ball, the piece was also featured on the local TV news and shared across the charity’s digital platforms and social media channels.
